I can see why millions tune in to Jersey Shore. I do, I get it. Curiosity. When I heard there were people on the show with names like "Snookie" and "The Situation", I too was intrigued and thought to myself: This has got to be a magical show with epic storytelling that involves rainbows and unicorns of some kind. I was wrong...
What I can't understand is why people keep watching. On the other hand, it was an inspiration for one of my favorite episodes of Bones thus far. So, for that I am grateful for the existence of Jersey Shore.

I spotted this video on a couple of blogs, and I feel the need to share it once again up here in this blog-o-sphere. Such a simple video and premise, but speaks volumes to the beauty of language and the awesomeness of good rhetoric. Plus, it totally brings on an awwww moment.
Who likes mash-ups? I DO! I DO! This week's music post features Greg Michael Ellis better known as Girl Talk, a more modern musician/producer that is a master at sampling and creating some of the tightest mash-ups I have heard in quite some time. His rockin beats just make me wanna dance!

And by gay I mean AWESOME! See what I did there, RECLAIMED! HUZZAH! As you may or may not know from a previous post, I heart info-graphics! I came across this, and it totally made me LAWL.
Lately, I've been into some kind of sappy (beautiful) music. Upon sharing a few pints with some friends at the pub, I played Bright Eyes' song First Day of My Life. I nonchalantly admitted I would love to sing this song at my wedding some day. Yes, I told you I've been into the sap, but I'm o.k. with that. Anyway, the very same friend said I should check out Train's Marry Me suggesting this might be my new wedding song. I replied, "That's just silly, because I would have already done the proposal long before the ceremony..."
Although I won't be singing it at my someday wedding, I did think it was a sweet little tune that brought a little more of the sap in of me.
By the way, if you haven't already done so, I definitely recommend moseying on over to NPR and check out their coverage of SXSW 2011. They feature video of full length concerts from the festival. It's definitely worth checking out if you're into good tunes and ear porn. Every year NPR sheds light on a new band that I usually end up falling in love with, so you too could find a new band or artist to drool over as you listen.
